“Culture is the widening of the mind and of the spirit.” Jawaharial Nehru
Besides learning acting through Acting Club, Mission Project participants enjoy a variety of cultural events. They’ve explored art at the Nelson-Atkins, discovered King Tut at Union Station, listened to the Kansas City Symphony, watched plays at the Heart of America Shakespeare Festival and seen Broadway musicals such as Wicked. There’s always something enriching to look forward to in The Mission Project.
Participants expand their knowledge and explore new ideas by reading assigned books and discussing them in one of two Book Clubs. Participants are grouped according to reading ability.
